Works great, as far as I know. March 11, 2004 John Dachik (Madison, WI USA) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
Installed in about 10 minutes in my Dell Dimension 2400, and works great. Only had it in one day so far though. Computer recognized the memory immediately. No problems, and everything runs much faster with triple the RAM, as you might expect.
Excellent Memory May 2, 2004 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I started off with one stick of 512, and I eventually bought three more seeing how stable this memory was. I'm using this memory in an Asus P4C800 Deluxe motherboard, with a 3.2 P4. Since it's been installed, I have yet to crash. I was also able to remain stable while over-clocking my chip up to 3.89mhz.
Highly recommended.
More memory is *always* a good idea. January 3, 2008 Harry Crowther (Massachusetts, United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've previously added a PNY 512 MB SIMM to get our aging Dell 2400 up to
768 MB, and that made it run sooo much better. Recently, it seemed
that adding even more might be worth a try, and for about the same
price, added this PNY 1 GB SIMM to replace the original Dell 256 MB SIMM,
now for a total of 1.5 GB. What a great idea! Prompt service, easy
installation, resulting in a much faster computer. (If you're like
me, you may need to poke around on the Dell web site to get the
manual which explains how to open the case.)
New computer chip November 3, 2006 James P. Schmid 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The computer chip did exactly what was expected. The shipping was done in a timely fashion. This would be a company we would deal with again.
Perfect....... February 19, 2009 A 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This memory was exactly what I ordered, and worked perfectly. Of course PNY is one of the well known manufacturers of RAM. Their products also have a lifetime warranty. A word of warning. I've seen many reviews in which people indicate that what they ordered didn't fit, or didn't work properly. There are many different parameters of RAM, all of which must be exactly correct, for it to fit, and then work in your computer. Sometimes even if you get one that fits into your computer, it won't work because it's the wrong speed or otherwise incompatible. RAM comes in different "shapes", speeds, SIMM, DIMM, and on and on. Because of this, it is VERY important that you go onto the website of the company that you are going to order from, and use their memory configurator, in which you enter the exact computer that you have, make, model, etc, and their system tells you exactly what RAM modules to buy for that computer. PNY was great b/c they had both their part number, and a retail part number. I took the retail part number and pasted it into Amazon, and it popped right up, I ordered it, and again, it worked perfectly. Unless you're a computer tech, and you know exactly what you need, NEVER try to order RAM from anyone without using the RAM configurator on the website of the company that you intend on ordering from. If you don't do this, buy at your own risk and expect it not to be the right one. If you do, you should get exactly what you need and be completely happy.
