No issues March 15, 2006 W. Bailey (Marlton, NJ United States) 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
No issue here. Using this device on a 2nd XP computer for wireless internet access. Using it with a 802.11b Netgear router. Set up was easy. Product has a rebate too. Great price...works great.
Saved $30 with this April 11, 2006 Deep Freeze (chapel hill, nc, usa) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought one of these instead of a $50 Dell unit for the office -- doesn't look quite as nice as the Dell, but it's hidden behind the PC box so who cares?
Functions perfectly, quick/ez install, no worries out of the box. Download speeds are = or > than the Dell (we have 3 of those).
I usually don't bother to write reviews but I'm irritated when the market is charging double what should be the going rate -- go with this item so long as the price remains sub $30!!!
Great product for the price January 12, 2007 Craig P. Borowski (Waterford MI) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was skeptical on this adapter based on it's low price($20). I've been using it on a desktop pc for a couple months now and it has been great, no issues at all, performance is fine for a cable broadband connection and it has never dropped a signal. I would recommend it for anyone looking for an adapter for desktop or laptop. Very convenient when you want to take internet away from the kids, just plug and/or unplug the adapter on the fly!!
Works with Macs too! April 20, 2009 Jose Palmieri (Minneapolis, MN USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
On the outside of the box this adapter came in there is a list of supported Window OS's. No mention of the Mac OS. And it comes with a CD containing drivers. Windows drivers. However, Mac drivers are available for download at Trendnet's own website. It's a good driver, also. I know because I previously bought another adapter for twice the cost and with a lousy driver. It requested my network name and password whenever I restarted the computer or even woke it from sleep mode. The Trendnet driver automatically restablishes the network connecion with no fuss (in about 15 seconds). It works with MacOS 10.4 or 10.5. Visit the following link to download it: http://www.trendnet.com/asp/download_manager/list_subcategory.asp?SUBTYPE_ID=700
Works fine July 12, 2006 R. Ward 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I downloaded the driver from Trendnet's website before installing the adapter. I did not encounter any problems at all, including the issue that some users had with it disconnecting when they plugged in another USB device.
